Los Angeles has hired Brendan Nugent as its new offensive line coach, with Mike Hiestand joining the organization as an offensive assistant. Also, Chris Gould has been added as an assistant special teams coach.
Nugent has the largest role of the three. He was hired to replace Frank Smith, who became the new offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins.
Nugent has coached nine seasons in the NFL, including the last five with the New Orleans Saints, first as the team’s assistant offensive line coach for four years and then as its offensive line coach in 2021.

Hiestand, meanwhile, spent the last three years with the Denver Broncos. The son of Notre Dame offensive line coach Harry Hiestand, he was Denver’s assistant to the head coach all three seasons while also serving as defensive quality control coach (2019-20) and assistant defensive line coach (2021).
Gould is a 10-year NFL veteran and the brother of San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould. He was on staff with the Broncos the last seven seasons, including the last five as assistant special teams coach.
