The offseason is officially in full swing for the Cincinnati Bengals, and they’re wasting no time when it comes to making moves.
On Tuesday, the Bengals announced that they’ve signed wide receiver Trent Taylor to the offseason roster.
Taylor, 27, signed with the Bengals last May. He was waived in late August before re-signing to the team’s practice squad shortly after.
In four games this season, Taylor had two catches for 41 yards. The Bengals primarily utilized him as a punt returner.
During the postseason, Taylor returned six punts for 76 yards. That’s a solid average for the playoffs.

Perhaps the Bengals will carve out a larger role for Taylor next season. During his time with the San Francisco 49ers, he had 79 catches for 731 yards and three touchdowns.
For now, the Bengals’ passing attack will run through Tyler Boyd, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. They’re arguably the best receiving trio in the NFL.
