Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has made more than a few headlines this offseason. Most of them stem from his contract negotiations with the team.
The latest headline involving Murray, however, stems from Colin Cowherd’s recent comments on his own podcast.
Cowherd shared an interesting conversation that he had with an NFL player. Though he didn’t reveal the person’s identity, Cowherd said this player claims Murray doesn’t like to get hit.
“I had an NFL Pro Bowl pass-rusher tell me a year ago that Kyler Murray doesn’t like to get hit, and he thinks he’ll leave for baseball in the next three or four years,” Cowherd revealed on his podcast. “He said, ‘Colin, I’ve hit Russell Wilson, I’ve hit Aaron Rodgers. That kid doesn’t like to get hit.'”

Despite all the drama surrounding Murray this offseason, the Cardinals want him as their quarterback for the foreseeable future.
Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury made that very clear while at the NFL Combine.
“All of our long-term goals here is to have Kyler be our quarterback,” Kingsbury said Tuesday, via The Athletic. “He understands my view of him and how I feel about him. I’m gonna refer back to the business side of things and that’s not something that I deal with. But it’s all part of the business right now and things that we’ll continue to work through.”
If the Cardinals and Murray can’t work out a deal fairly soon, this contract situation could linger into the summer. That could then lead to even more speculation about the Pro Bowl quarterback’s future in the NFL.
