While Kyler Murray makes the push for a contract of his own, Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury came to terms on an extension with the team Wednesday, Ian Rapoport reports.

Kingsbury, as well as Cardinals general manager Steve Keim, were both extended by Arizona; keeping them in the desert for the foreseeable future.

Fans reacted to the news across social media.

“Well that’s mildly interesting in the middle of Kyler’s clear push for a new contract and all that’s come from that,” tweeted Yahoo Sports’ Matt Harmon.

“Keim traded up for Josh Rosen, then gave up on him after a year so he could take Kyler Murray. Spent his next 2 1st-round picks on inside linebackers, and seems hesitant to extend Murray,” noted Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling.

Hard to imagine the Cardinals’ decision will play well in the Kyler Murray camp.
