Look: Katy Perry Responds To Message From Lane Kiffin

Lane Kiffin and Matt Corral have a new fan, and it’s none other than celebrity Katy Perry.

The Ole Miss Rebels made a strong impression in their season opener, beating Louisville 43-24 on Monday. Corral completed 22 of his 32 throws for 381 yards and one touchdown. He also added 55 yards and an additional score on the ground. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact Ole Miss played so well without Kiffin on the sidelines.

Kiffin missed the season opener after testing positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, he’ll return to the sideline this Saturday when Ole Miss hosts Austin Peay in the home opener.

Kiffin isn’t just hoping for the fans to come out in full force. He sent an invitation to Katy Perry, who is known to have been a Rebels fan in the past.

Believe it or not, Katy Perry responded to Kiffin on Thursday. She would love nothing more than to see Kiffin have success and Corral win the Heisman.

Take a look.

All board the Lane Train… LFG!!! @corral_matt for Heisman OK ☝🏻🌽🐕🙏🏻 https://t.co/vLEEpxmIb5

Katy Perry has been a good luck charm for Ole Miss football in the past. She accurately predicted Ole Miss’ iconic upset of No. 3 Alabama during her appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay back in 2014.

Perry is once again backing the Rebels. That could spell could luck for Kiffin and Corral the rest of this season.

Ole Miss will look to move to 2-0 on the season this Saturday against Austin Peay. Who knows? Maybe Perry will be in attendance.
