Utah reserve defensive tackle Tevita Fotu did not play in yesterday’s Rose Bowl, but he appeared to get a hit in on an Ohio State player postgame.
ESPN cameras captured a minor confrontation between some Utes and Buckeyes after OSU thrilling 48-45 comeback win last night. At one point in the altercation, Fotu can be seen attempting a punch.
In the clip below, Fotu is in the No. 94 jersey and backwards cap. The Herriman, Utah native did not appear in a game all season for Utah.

Overall, this wasn’t a big deal, but it stinks that even a mild scuffle occurred after what was one of the best bowl games in recent memory. Yesterday’s Rose Bowl had everything you could have asked for.
For all the talk about the College Football Playoff being the only games that matter, the four non-playoff New Year’s Six Games (Peach, Fiesta, Rose and Sugar) were all markedly better than the two semifinals.
Hopefully next week’s national title game lives up to its billing.
