Kevin Durant is ready to return to the hardwood. The Brooklyn Nets just announced that Durant will return to the starting lineup on Thursday night against the Miami Heat.
Nets head coach Steve Nash told reporters that Durant would be back this week. The last time we saw Durant in action was on Jan. 15 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Nets wanted to maker sure they gave Durant ample time to recover from his MCL injury. Now that he’s back, the team can officially start its playoff push.
Unsurprisingly, the fan base in Brooklyn is thrilled that Durant has recovered from his knee injury. The Nets are 8-19 this season without him on the floor.
“The moment the world has been waiting for,” a Nets fan tweeted.

Nets fans should expect to see Durant at full strength this Thursday. After all, Bruce Brown said his star teammate looked sharp at shootaround on Monday.
“He doesn’t look hurt to me,” Brown said, via ESPN. “I’m going to be honest. He looks good.”
Tipoff for the Heat-Nets game is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
