Report: Rutgers To Retire Eric LeGrand’s No. 52 Jersey

Eric LeGrand is one of the most famous figures in college football. He is the former Rutgers play who tragically broke his neck on the football field and ended up paralyzed. However, he has remained incredibly positive and taken on an inspirational role to many people — he has signed many endorsement deals, does public speaking, and often weighs in on pressing issues in the sport.

Today it was announced that Rutgers will retire LeGrand’s “52” jersey — we love this move:

LeGrand’s No. 52 will be first number retired by country’s oldest football program. #Rutgers

This was well deserved, and a long time coming. You can keep up with Eric LeGrand on Twitter here.
